Berarah Kepada Politik Matang

Berarah Kepada Politik Matang
(For English Read Below)
Bersatu, Beramanah, Bermaruah

The Need for Mature Politics
1. Since the approval of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM), some have asked my opinion if there is some level of immaturity from various quarters when it comes to politics.
2. Currently, if one were to look around, whenever a statement is issued (either from BN or PH), there seems to be automatic heated response and finger pointing without any basis. This stems from the pent up anger that has lately been ejaculated to which has become personal vendettas with the intent to assassinate a character.
3. In a democracy, it is our right as citizens to voice out our frustrations, however, shouting our frustrations will not bring any form of solutions. Dissenting voices must be backed up by facts and allowing others to also voice their opinions based on facts. We should not use our anger to shout with the intent of character assasination. We must remember that our words can affect a society's wellbeing.
4. We should not be like a certain Minister whom, yesterday, having received a phyric victory when two individual's lawsuits were withdrawn, proceeded to character assasinate a movement's figurehead so as to intentionally avoid the main points of contention which ails the country's progress.
5. In politics, we need to hear differing viewpoints from all sides. A mature approach to politics will allow everyone to enter a dialogue that will inevitably result in solutions via the use of diplomacy.
6. Diplomacy does not mean weakness. One can be firm, but sustainable solutions for the long term benefit of the nation and its society lies in a series of compromises.
7. Diplomacy and dialogues are the basic foundations of politics.
8. What is the point of shouting when all it results in everyone shouting, a sore throat, losing our own voice and deaf? We should not lose our testicles because of politics of individualism and hatred.
9. Most of the current Pakatan politicians have roots in NGO's, where shouting their concerns is part of their character. I pray that they begin to realise anger can not become the engine for this nation to move sustainably forward and that the voters do not want to hear politics of anger.
10. I pray they realise that to become the nation's engine we need to evolve towards mature politics.
11. We in the Opposition coalition want to win, and by practicing mature politics we can win over the hearts and minds of the voting public. We should not be like BN who are experts in manipulating people's emotions.
12. Mature politics is the only way for us to bring this nation forward. Together
13. If we do not practice mature politics, Malaysia will further regress.
14. The Malay community will be the biggest beneficiaries of mature politics as it is part of the Malay Values (Maruah Melayu)
15. Thus, to achieve mature politics, the Malay Community must reject outright the concept of Ketuanan Melayu
16. We must hold on to the concept of the universal bond that is Malaysia and empower Maruah Melayu so Malaysians can eventually move forward together as one, despite our individual differences and evolve towards Mature Politics.
17. If the Malay Community practices mature politics, the other communities will begin to respect us. BN will be shaken and also start to respect us.
18. We cannot act and think of us as individuals. Malaysia cannot begin reconstruction if we follow our own whims and fancies. Malaysia cannot reconstruct if you, the people, follow my own whims and fancies. Malaysia can only begin reconstruction of we, together you and I, work together. Yes, Bersatu.
19. We must begin reconstructing Malaysia for our children and grandchildren. This is our responsibility. The responsibility lies with you and I.
20. Therefore, I wish all members of PPBM to be the vanguards to reconstruct our nation for a sustainable future. We must advocate for mature politics which is part and parcel of Maruah Melayu.
